Encryption Storage Technologies LLC (EST) is the owner of US Patent No. 6,993,661. The ‘661 patent is directed to a system and method for sanitization of disk storage units.

General Patent Corporation is the managing member of EST, and the sole inventor, Simson Garfinkel, is also a member. Mr. Garfinkel is currently an Associate Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and an Associate of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.

Mr. Garfinkel received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT in 2005 and is a prolific author and inventor in the field of computer science. Mr. Garfinkel has and will continue to contribute valuable technical assistance to EST.
